Jay Richards – Chief Operating Officer
As COO, Jay is responsible for ensuring that all requirements for successful business operations are met. He is responsible for the daily running of Ride the Ray and making sure that we are always on track.
Prior to co-founding Ride the Ray, Jay helped Eskom Holdings revamp its financial reporting systems. In that role he redesigned the business intelligence infrastructure for the company, ensuring improved financial analysis. Before working with Eskom, Jay also worked with a major South African bank helping to improve system analysis and implementation of a division wide data mart. Jay holds a business qualification from Wits University Business School.
Tristan Bergh – Chief Technical Officer
As CTO Tristan is responsible for the selection of all Ride the Ray technology and for ensuring that all solutions are implemented to the clients’ satisfaction.
Prior to co-founding Ride the Ray, Tristan designed software control and operating solutions for Eskom Holdings, law enforcement authorities and commercial organizations. He helped develop the largest civil/criminal AFIS implementation, as well as the successful migration of platforms for a leading medical aid. Tristan hold a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Wits University.
Nico Sebolai - Business Development Manager
As Business Development Manager, Nico is responsible for developing markets and creating profitability through the marketing of Ride the Ray's suit of services while optimizing revenue from existing lines. Working together with our extended Ride the Ray team, Nico ensures service excellence so that the Ride the Ray brand and ethos are paramount.
Prior to co-founding Ride the Ray, Nico developed his sales and entrepreneurial skills in the financial services sector where he worked in key sales and business analyst leadership roles. At Nedbank he contributed to the market share growth and to the strategic positioning of the Retail Asset Lending business.
Benjamin Nathanson - Chief Financial Officer
Ben has more than 25 years experience in helping technology based businesses grow and develop. At Ride the Ray, Ben focuses on finance as well as overseeing all aspects of the Ride the Ray go to market strategy. Ben uses his large contact base to track trends and the future of the industry.
A business specialist, Ben has built development and corporate strategy for several of the Global 100 companies. He has been responsible for emerging technology practices at several consulting firms and has managed financial & business development organizations at a major engineering firm. Ben holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Wales and a B.A. from McGill University.
